Why Beaver Island?
The island is one of the most remote locations in Michigan while still having modern infrastructure like roads and electricity. It's quiet, the air is clean and the stars are crisply visible at night. Large sections of the wooded island remain untouched by human development, and there are no passers-by on their way to somewhere else.

Sand Bay
The Island's largest bay, with a sandy beach, great swimming water, and spread out homes.

Sand Bay

St. James
The island's only town which runs along its northeastern harbor. It includes a public beach park, hotels and marinas.
Donegal Bay
One of the island's popular summer beaches. It's on the west side only a short drive, bike ride or walk from town. Other than the beach and comfortably spread out residences, this bay also features Mt. Pisgah, a giant sand dune and the highest point on the island.

Font Lake
The second largest inland lake. It sits at the halfway point between town and Donegal Bay, and is a popular fishing spot with a readily available public boat launch. There are also plans to extend the asphalt bike trail to this launch site, as well as clear more space for parking.
Iron Ore Bay
Another popular beach destination on the south end of the Island

Lake Geneserath
The largest inland lake, located on the south end. It has a handful of homes on its shores, a public boat launch and is a popular fishing destination.
